A "surfing paradise" of a different kind, made of earth and stone - you will find it on St. Moritz's local mountain Corviglia. Flow trails without tight hairpin bends and blocked passages, but with smoothly rideable approach curves, hollows, and waves. And the best part: no oncoming traffic.
Experts test the limits of centrifugal force on the flow trails. Less experienced bikers enjoy casual "surfing" over bumps and gentle jumps. The word "flow" refers to smooth biking routes instead of rough switchbacks.
Suitable for families, too
Families with mountain bike experience can also have fun on these rollercoaster-like rides. The flow trails are not suitable for beginners, however – but the required riding technique is straightforward to learn. The various bike schools in the Engadin will be happy to introduce you to the art of riding flow trails. You will need a robust mountain bike and certain coordination skills; a couple of rounds on a pump track provide good preparation. You can find pump tracks in Pontresina and also by the base station of the Signal cable car in St. Moritz Bad.

The newest member of the Corviglia Flow Trails is technically the easiest and shortest. And it can be ideal for Flow Trail beginners and families with children provided they already have mountain bike experience. The trail winds its way in 'flowy' curves to Marguns, from where the chairlift immediately takes you back to Corviglia to hit the trail turns again or to try out one of the other Corviglia Flow Trails.
The icing on the cake after a strenuous bike tour are the approach curves and waves of the Foppettas Flow Trail. The Signalbahn transports bike and biker back up. Afterwards, a gravel path leads over the Alp Suvretta to Futschöls, the starting point of the Foppettas Flow Trail. It doesn’t matter whether you want to try to break your personal best time or just take it easy, the forest descent towards Champfèr promises fun in any case. The popular Flow Trail was recently extended and now leads right into the center of the tranquil village of Champfèr.
Tip: The WM Flow Trail can be connected with the Foppettas Flow Trail via El Paradiso and Alp Suvretta.
The WM Flow Trail begins a few meters from the Corviglia mountain station. It winds its way down the valley with many curves. You have to master the 360-degree bend with verve and "pump" over Alp Giop in the direction of the Trutz Hut. The WM Flow Trail wasn’t named by chance. Anyone who curves down it finds themselves on the most historic ski racing slope in the world. Since 1974, ski pros have been competing for world championship titles and World Cup victories on the same ground in winter.
The Olympia Flow Trail, also known as the Corviglia Flow Trail, begins at the Corviglia mountain station. It is 3.7 kilometers long, covers 480 meters in depth, and winds its way to the Alto Bar at the Chantarella midway station. If you want to join the Engadin bike scene, order a burger here and enjoy the sun. In the meantime, the bike specialists at the Corvatsch ski service will be happy to take care of your "darling." Also on the Olympia Flow Trail, you cycle on traces of great sports history: The downhill pump track leads along the Olympic ski slope of 1948.
